Morning Report: Chase Em Out Nellie
Chase Them Out Nellie: Let's face it, the Golden State Warriors have wasted another season, so it's not much of a surprise that Warriors coach Don Nelson wants to start playing his younger players to get them experience and see how they handle themselves in extended minutes. This, after all, is a wasted season and you need to start understanding what you have on the roster. The Warriors will play the Bobcats tonight in Oakland. The interesting note about this game is back on December 20th, Jamal Crawford hung 50 on the Bobcats, but was told earlier in the week he might not play tonight. Crawford is not injured, he is not nursing a sore anything, and in fact he wants to play in the game. Don Nelson is saying he'll play the young guys. If you're scratching your head on why you would deprive your fan base of the "rematch" you're not alone. There aren't many bright spots on the season for Warriors' fans, but watching Jamal hang huge numbers is entertaining, at least. Crawford's agent Aaron Goodwin is based in Oakland and is a bit more upset about the decision than the mild mannered Crawford and the interesting part is Crawford has an option to become a free agent this summer.
