Aaron Brooks kept looking to see when Luis Scola was going to come back to the Houston bench. Once the game was finally over, he realized why the Rockets' starting forward never did. Gouged in the right eye only 22 seconds into the Rockets' 100-91 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night, Scola sported a bandage over his eye in the locker room.


Krstic sidelined by Achilles’ injury (AP)

Thunder center Nenad Krstic missed Oklahoma City's game Sunday night against the Houston Rockets because of a sore left Achilles' tendon. Krstic had started all 16 of Oklahoma City's games and was averaging 8.3 points. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Etan Thomas. Krstic's absence left the Thunder with only nine active players.

Russell Westbrook easily won the matchup of young point guards, and the Oklahoma City Thunder had no trouble with the Milwaukee Bucks, either. Kevin Durant had 33 points and 12 rebounds, Westbrook outplayed rookie Brandon Jennings, and the Thunder beat the Bucks 108-90 on Friday night. Westbrook scored nine of his 20 points during a 17-0 run over the first 6 1/2 minutes of the second half.

Thunder sign G Mike Wilks after spate of injuries (AP)

The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed veteran guard Mike Wilks after a spate of injuries to the team's other guards. Oklahoma City General Manager Sam Presti announced Wilks' signing on Thursday. The Thunder's two backup point guards, Shaun Livingston and Kevin Ollie, are sidelined by knee injuries, and another guard, Kyle Weaver, suffered a shoulder injury Wednesday during a practice.
