With the preseason winding down, the Sacramento Kings got just the kind of spark they had been missing from Andres Nocioni. They're just learning what rookie Omri Casspi can do. Nocioni scored 19 points and Casspi added 16 as the Kings beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 104-89 on Thursday night despite playing without leading scorer Kevin Martin.


Thunder waives F Michael Ruffin; roster now at 16 (AP)

Veteran forward Michael Ruffin has been waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thunder General Manager Sam Presti announced the move Thursday, hours before Oklahoma City's final preseason game against the Sacramento Kings. Ruffin is a former Tulsa standout who appeared in only one preseason game for the Thunder.

Thunder waives guard Tre Kelley; roster now at 17 (AP)

The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived guard Tre Kelley, cutting the team's roster to 17 players with one preseason game remaining. Oklahoma City General Manager Sam Presti announced the roster move Wednesday. Kelley had played in three preseason games for the Thunder, averaging 1.3 points and 1.0 assist per game in about seven minutes per contest.

As Kevin Durant watched his Oklahoma City teammates blow a 20-point fourth-quarter lead, he thought about lobbying to return to the game.
