The Oklahoma City Thunder are a month ahead of last season's pace. Kevin Durant scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to lead Oklahoma City to a 91-83 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. "We showed some toughness on the road against a playoff team and passed a big test," Durant said.

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder completed step one in avoiding another horrendous start to the season. Durant had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Jeff Green added 24 points and the Thunder led from start to finish in a 102-89 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised fourth-year contract options on Kevin Durant and Jeff Green. Thunder general manager Sam Presti said on Friday that the team also exercised third-year options on guard Russell Westbrook and forward D.J. White. The franchise drafted Durant and Green in 2007 and Westbrook and White in 2008.
